10.12.99 Updated my picture again today. I think I have finally decided on a way to make her legs. The picture I based this off of had no legs, so I was pretty much on my own for the legs. But I like the way they are arranged now, so I am going to go ahead and put some detail on them and then the picture will be almost complete except for touch ups and that sort of thing. Of course that's assuming that I do have the legs set up feasibly.

There ain't been shit for Natalie Portman news in the past week. The only new thing I've heard about her is those pictures Baron Zemo sent me a week ago, and those weren't on a news site. I guess college did manage to give her the privacy she wanted.

In related news, I may be redesigning the site. I mean like renaming the sections and adding a few more focuses (focii?) to the site. I might rename this section to Visual and merge it with the anime, the techno section name might be Audio (both names a la AnalogX), and perhaps rename the main page to Core (cuz that sounds cool). The reason that is related is because since so little goes on in this section that I am going to expand it to all forms of visual stuff, like my art, anime, and of course Natalie Portman. Makes sense eh? Now I usually put general news type stuff on the main page, but it got a big update yesterday, and this page ain't got nothing in a while. So please don't tell Index that Portman got the big news, because he'll be jealous. Thanks for indulging me.

09.30.99 Updated my picture today. It has been a while since I worked on it, and it was the first work I've done with Photoshop 5.5 since I got it. I haven't actually used any of the new features, but this picture doesn't need them. I've heard a lot fo good things about Natalie's performance in Anywhere But Here, but I don't know whether or not I'm going to go out to see it. I'll probably wait for the video. Some parts of the movie sound good (in terms of Natalie) while others I am not looking forward to. For some weird ass reason I don't want to see Natalie Portman kissing dudes. Heh, that's pretty bad. I need a life. Or perhaps the ability to talk to all the countless, good-looking ladies around campus. It's just a good thing Natalie Portman doesn't go to the same college as me, because a lot of problems could arise. Namely me not getting any work done. And restraining orders. That would suck. I don't want to be really weird, and I hope I don't scare anybody. Except my victims in Quake. I am getting lame. Help.

09.11.99 Put up some favorite pictures of Natalie Portman and an incomplete version of my Natalie Portman in Quake3Arena picture. I'm making the pic in photoshop 5 and I haven't used any filters, just airbrush, smudge, and a little rubber stamp on the face which was coming out poorly. I like it even in its unfinished state. I think it's gonna come out fine. At this point I've put over 10 hours into the picture. Email me if you have a nice picture that you think should be up in this elite hall of good pictures. Email me, just cuz I'm lonely.

09.07.99 This is the scan of the short interview I found in YM magazine from Oct 99. Fine, go ahead and ask why I was looking in YM. I was looking at it because for some weird ass reason girls like looking at good looking girls. Compare a GQ to a YM and you'll find a bunch more lovely ladies in the YM. Go figure. I wondered if I might find Natalie in it. I did. Go figure. I submitted the picture to RedLobster at Natalie Forever and I have submitted news there twice in as many weeks. Damn. I thought I had a life. Oh well, a lack of life with Natalie is better than a lack of life without her. Oh damn.

09.06.99 Of course you've seen her as Padmé + Queen Amidala in Episode 1 (which I didn't like as a part of the Star Wars series, although it is a good stand alone movie). However I don't think that those roles were her best. People (including her) say that Amidala was a great role because it was a young girl in a position of great power, but I believe that it was another character that could have been better had Lucas been a better director. It seems to me know (as it has since I was able to discern good and bad performances) that Lucas doesn't direct actors very well. The actors have always done pretty well, but I have thought that most of the characters don't show enough emotion. And that has been a recurring theme that I, and others I have spoken to, believe to be attributed to Lucas' lack of direction in that area. In any case, I think Natalie did a fine job and this hole rant was to familiarize you with her.

She has done some very good work in other movies, and I hear that she was wonderful in the broadway production of The Diary of Anne Frank. This is not a worldwide opinion, as I have seen may a person come to a Natalie Portman message board on a Natalie Portman fan site and complain that she is a terrible actor. First off, don't ever be a person who has nothing to do except go to fan sites of people you don't respect only to tell the fans that they are foolish in their admiration of the work of the person. I truly enjoyed her acting in Beautiful Girls and The Professional. Excellent work as far as I can tell.

There is also the matter of her being smart. She's in Harvard (or Yale says Russian Vogue) and that has to be earned by at least a good deal of hard work and intelligence. It is all too rare that you even hear about someone who is beautiful and smart. I guess that's why Qwerty and me are working on the cloning machine and the accelerated growth tanks. Oh, I wasn't supposed to mention that. Nevermind my gibberish.

I've seen Natalie in film clips from a few appearances of Letterman and the time she was on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. I would have to say that she is indeed humorous. She gets jokes and makes them. Once again a quality that is not a always present among beautiful women.

Perhaps now you can understand why I am so interested in her: she is interesting. Anyway... I put up my favorite pictures of her, and you can find links to good sites about her in the Links section.
